4.2.2.3. Installation

Temporarily establish a cylindrical spring, a protective cover and a rubber support on the shock-absorber so that the bottom edge of a cylindrical spring was located on a ledge of the lower cup of a spring.

Fig. 4.14. Marking of components of a damping rack

Mark a cylindrical spring, a protective cover and a rubber support for appropriate installation, as shown in the drawing of fig. 4.14.
Level tags of a cylindrical spring and a protective cover. Wrap up a cylindrical spring and a protective cover a piece of fabric, then install special devices.

Fig. 4.15. Compression of a cylindrical spring

Squeeze a cylindrical spring, using special devices (fig. 4.15).
Install the shock-absorber so that the bottom edge of a cylindrical spring was located on a ledge of the lower cup of a spring.
Make sure that tags on the shock-absorber and a protective cover coincide.
Establish a rubber support and a nut of a rod of the piston, then remove special devices.
Piston rod nut inhaling moment: 39,2–52,9 N · m.

Fig. 4.16. Installation of carving hairpins

Establish carving hairpins at an angle 27-33 ° concerning a stabilizer rack (the center line), towards inside of the car (fig. 4.16).

Fig. 4.17. Installation of a fork of the shock-absorber

Establish a fork of the shock-absorber and level it on tags together with a dynamic damper (fig. 4.17).
Tighten a bolt of fastening of a fork.
Install other components as it should be, the return to removal.
