1.4.4.17. Check of pressure of air in tires

Fig. 1.185. The location of the plate with the recommended air pressure in tires

Check pressure monthly in all tires, including a spare wheel. to provide the best combination of smoothness of the course and controllability, and also long service life of tires, support the recommended air pressure in tires (see a label on a door, fig. 1.185).
Control air pressure only on cold tires.
Usually in heated-up tires pressure of air exceeds the recommended value. It is forbidden to pit air from heated-up tires to normalize air pressure. Insufficient pressure of air leads to deterioration in fuel profitability, the uneven and accelerated wear of protectors of tires, deterioration in density of landing of the tire on shelves of a rim, and also to a spontaneous descent of the tire from a wheel rim.
Too high pressure of air in tires worsens smoothness of the course, results in the uneven and accelerated wear of tires, and also increases danger of damages of tires from road roughnesses. Support the recommended air pressure in tires. If it is required to pump up often the tire, check the tire and a wheel for existence of damages.
